"The eye has to travel", said Diane Vreeland and Sotiria Stavropoulou could not agree more. This is the essense of the vision she is committed to bringing to life, "The Kimono Project". Inspired by the iconic society playgrounds of the ’60s and ’70s in the Mediterrenean: Positano, Mykonos, Hydra, Marrakech, Sardinia. "Women should always feel free and comfortable in garments that could be worn anywhere and anytime, from day to night, feeling feminine and sexy at the same time".
Handrafted in Greece, Sotiria Stavropoulou, creates "The Kimono Project" Collection and each garment boasts a clean cut, irresistible prints, organic materials of the highest quality (silk, cotton, linen, viscose) and an audacious detail or two like embroidery or hand painting. Connecting greek tradition with craftsmanship and Japanese aesthetics makes her creations unique, as every woman who wears them. Based in Santorini, Greece, Sotiria Staveopoulou’s The Kimono Project will always remind you of Greece, the place where you had the time of your life.

About the designer
Having completed her studies in Ancient Greek Philosophy and History, Sotiria decided to follow her passion, fashion. After working as a junior editor in Vogue Hellas and Votre Beauté online magazine she went on to join the dynamic team of world famous greek designer, Celia Kritharioti for the next ten years. This presented her with the unique chance to learn from the best and travel the world extensively, especially Paris, the fashion capital.
